PCV Driver Training (Passenger Carrying Vehicle)
We offer PVC driver training (Passenger Carrying Vehicle). Bus driver trianing, Coach driver training and Minibus driver training. We welcome individuals or businesses looking to train new drivers. All new D and D1 drivers must take the Initial Driver CPC in addition to the practical driving test. PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) License classes Class D1 - Minibus up to 16 seats, minimum driving age 21
PCV Driver Training, Coach Driver Training, Bus Driver Training 1:1 courses from 2 to 5 days We also offer theory training in preparation for the Initial Driver CPC. All courses are subject to a driving assessment. PCV Vehicles We have a 54 seat Dennis Javelin coach for training and taking the Class D test. This vehicle complies with the minimum test vehicle standard. For the Class D1 minibus driver training and test, we usually use a 16 seat minibus. The minibus complies with the minimum test vehicle standard. PCV Test We will arrange the test for you, there is an extra charge for a Saturday test date. The Driver Initial CPC is 4 modules: M1 Theory Test, M3 Practical Driving Test, M2 CPC Case Study, M4 CPC Practical off road test. All 4 modules are compulsory, we will help you prepare for this. Please note that M1 and M3 are the standard theory and practical tests. You can use our vehicle in which to take the test or a vehicle from your business or employer. A PCV test vehicle is required to be a very specific standard, so please check with us first if not using one of our vehicles. PCV Driving Style Driving a bus, coach or minibus is all about keeping the passenger safe and comfortable. We will teach you how to drive smoothly with passengers in mind, and at the same time keep your passengers, the vehicle and other road users safe. This is the eco-friendly style now required in the practical driving test. Accelerating, braking, cornering all need to be smooth and controlled - in fact just elegant! |
